Mute Request for ILL

Broly

Continuous in game bullying and harassment in chat. I can't focus, and get the Headshots. Man just wont shut the fuck up in chat. No proof needed. Everyone faces same issue, any mod can check chat history.

1) maybe dont start taunting players ingame then broly after you kill them each time? we've all seen the videos

2) multiple mods were ingame, no action was taken, because it was obvious I was only responding to you, rest of us were having fun ingame...even the other team (mesa)

3) nobody is responsible for your ability to focus, ignore chat, dont taunt, and focus on "getting the headshots"

you are not innocent in this....

Broly's response to ILL's bulletin points:

1) Tu quoque fallacy.

2) I agree.

3) I also agree, but I will continue to walk after kills, as it helps me ready my time C4 and pistole.

You are not the judge, you're not that guy pal. Sit Down, and wait for Shaitan or some mods....

Funny cause you do that  ALL the time. You can ask anyone, even your 1 EZ clan member, xtremePro. Its really annoying to be quite honest.

I recommend toning it down or mutes will get handed out.

Yes that's true manny, but the difference is im not here on the forums crying about it

If you noticed ingame how many people talk shit to me, yet ive never asked for anyone to be kicked/ban/muted.....instead I just write back....it always takes 2 to tango

i mean to be fair you kind of started this thing but i personally have fun with it. i think it sometimes it even creates a good dynamic for the game, people are much more motivated to teamplay when you can motivate them by saying "lets get ILL rekt". sometimes it has negative implications though, be it when the server has low population and the ez squad wins every game with no serious opposition or when people take it too seriously themselves and it´s getting too personal.

i´d recommend being a bit more aware sometimes and scaling it back when the situation calls for it, the game has only so many players as is. but i´m also not saying it needs to go completely.

Nah. Your whole MO is instigating shit. People either learn to ignore it like I have or it gets under their skin. There’s multiple posts and requests from ppl in game (including 1 I made several months ago) requesting you to tone it down or be muted, and logs/history speaks for itself. I think what inspector wrote is fair enough.

I don't particularly have the time or desire to get involved in rene politics, so my replies on this will most likely be limited.

However, computer games are based on the inherent principle of competition.  This is similar to eSports, athletic sports, debate or anything else requiring a competitive environment.  Within these environments, different players develop different styles based on acquiring an advantage.  This is nothing new and has been a mechanism used to vet and form relationships within communities for decades.

The majority of you have a passive communication style, preferring to avoid conflict and confrontation by appearing indifferent.

Broly and a handful of others have a passive aggressive style.  This is characterized by subtly acting out but lacking direct communication and confrontation.  An example of this would be walking back and forth slowly with no weapon visible after killing someone.  Another example would be intentionally throwing games or blatantly not trying when on a certain team.  This post is even an example of this type of style.

ILL's style can be characterized as an aggressive style involving high emotion, low empathy, and a focus on winning.  This style is built on confidence and the ability to "get in the zone" when competing.  It also serves as a catalyst for more competitive gameplay overall.  It encourages team play and inspires others to elevate their game.

The point is, everyone has their own style and no one is innocent in this debate.

ILL says the exact same stuff to me when we're on opposing sides and I'm not on the forums crying.  He also constantly reminds me of the "derp shit' I'm doing when we're on the same team.  All it does is inspire me to compete at a higher level and elevate my game.  If he really pisses me off, I'll say 1v1?  And he'll play me 1v1.  And you know what?  He'll probably beat me but I'm not a p*ssy about it.  I'll still play him.

I encourage everyone involved in this discussion to watch the video below.  ILL's superpower is his ability to talk trash.  And if you guys can't handle "EZ and rekkt," I suggest you go play a single player game.

There are more play styles than that, which seems you took from an e-gaming psychology booklet from 2004 when most of us were teenagers.

As you suggest other players to go play a single player, I can also propose to the other end a more competitive community like DotA or League. But I'm not proposing that since I appreciate everyone who plays here, and all these threads and posts are about the community trying to balance the atmosphere for everyone to enjoy the game with their own preferences.

Alright, time to let bygones be bygones.  Broly has my respect because he played me 1v1.  He easily won in sniping which we all knew would happen.  But he also played 1v1 AOW.  He got me on Islands and he deferred on Complex even though he technically won by ped.  Timing was a bit off on Islands with harv dumps and having to sui after the game started, but all in all, he played great.

This is the point in the smack talk we do.  It's not really about winning or losing, it's about the competition.  I genuinely enjoyed playing these games and I would assume he did too.  I think it would be great if we could get a clanwar server up and actually start doing some of this 1v1-3v3 stuff.  ILL and I don't even have to be on the same team.  It's all about the competition, win or lose. Once you get in the game, the shit talking stops and it evelates everyones game.

Again, Broly, hats off to you.

So many people posting in this thread and missing the point....at least 1 person gets it

Obviously everyone is different, but at least for me and some other OGs, if there are no other decent players, if there is no teamplay, if there is no shit talking/competition....this game is a 20 year old snooze fest....

I love it when "KILL ILL" squads are formed....safe space kids might see that as online bullying, but I love it, its just about the only thing that motivates me to play serious....also, I cannot control other peoples emotions, but if you get offended by WORDS ONLINE, that is your problem not mine

Now come kill me ingame guys....if you  can  :)
