zunnie - The myth, the man, the legend.

Recommended Posts

As you may have seen with @WNxH3adSh00t's shoutbox post and link, an old C&C: Renegade player, friend, developer, and maker of crazy shit has passed away. Even if you do not know of him and you play Renegade: you've played using his work.

There will be something going on, maybe a server tribute. Idk what or when, but I'll be damned if our old friend z goes quietly into that night.

Over at MPF there's a topic about it, they set it up so guests can post if you want: https://multiplayerforums.com/topic/7663-rip-zunnie

On the Renegade Forums @Spencer/reborn made a topic: http://www.renegadeforums.com/index.php?t=msg&th=41205&start=0&

The facebook group that old FMSharon posted: https://www.facebook.com/groups/375819782434877/?multi_permalinks=2164219046928266&notif_id=1531469069218316&notif_t=group_activity

Never really spoke to Zunnie but knew him from the old days, may he rest in peace.

Always sad to hear of a player passing.

It was really sad to hear it myself, CJ PMd me on Steam this morning and linked me to their facebook page to confirm it. It feels so strange how one day you talk to a person and the next one they might pass away and things will never be the same again. It's a huge loss to the Renegade community.

Rest In Peace zunnie

full of ideas and creativity with a passion for renegade.

he helped so many people over the years, always willing to spend hours/weeks and sometimes months teaching people how to mod renegade, I know for sure he will be missed

Rest In Peace Zunnie

I'll do my best to join, just let us know the details.

Wish I'd have talked to him more, he was a great guy from the times we talked and will be greatly missed.

Rest In Peace Zunnie.

I remember him joining OSTK as OSTKZunnie. We had our own server back then. Me, personally was a big fan of the Ultra-Aow server from St0rm, and he tried to create something similar for us.

Normally someone's death doesn't do much to me, but heck, his one does. To realise he was still alive yesterday... shocking.

May you find rest wherever you be Zunnie. I have some other comments to share when I know how or when this tragedy happened. I'd appreciate if anyone could keep me informed.

We just lost a renegade legend, I agree he was way too young to die patman... He was a really nice guy, who will be missed by the whole community.

Rest in peace Zunnie.

I remember from my days on MPF, talking with zunnie, he was a low key guy who didn't use a headset, his mic on his desk, always transmitted his typing on his keyboard, the clattering use to drive me nuts.  He was a brilliant guy who loved renegade.  So sorry to here he passed.  Does anyone know how old he was?

37 years old? That's wayyyy too young! May he rest in peace, and may the friends he made play on in honor of him!
